The EcoLogic
For the environmentally-conscious among us and those who want the best for our children, it's only "logical" that we choose these ecological and sustainable fabrics. We offer continually-stocked solid colours, as well as a changing selection of prints, in the following:
Bamboo
That's right, you read correctly! We are officially the first sling-maker anywhere in the world to offer baby slings made with 100% bamboo fiber! We can't say enough about all the fabulous qualities of this wonder fabric: It's naturally anti-microbial, anti-fungal, and anti-bacterial (which means that it naturally requires no pesticides, and also repels odours); is breathable and has wicking properties that are far superior to cotton; and is also suitable for those sensitive to allergens. Bamboo fabric is also purported to have an inherant UV protection factor. As if this weren't already good enough, the plant is highly sustainable. Being the fastest-growing plant on Earth, a bamboo can re-generate to its full mass within six months, and can be continually harvested every three years.
Cotton
Our cottons are imported and certified organic—grown without the use of chemical pesticides. Any dying is done by a low-impact, fiber-reactive process that uses far less water than conventional dying. This is more environmentally-sound because all dye material is reclaimed and not released as effluent. No heavy metal mordants, azo, sulfa or vat dyes are used.

Silk brocades
Our silk-rayon brocades are truly gorgeous, and will really get you both noticed! A full swath of the brocade envelopes you and your child, both front and back, and it is as comfortable as it is eye-catching. We use the highest silk content possible in our silk brocades, not cheaper 100% polyester or 100% rayon brocades.
Silk dupionis
Our silk dupionis are 100% raw silk, available in lovely, shimmery hues. These super-light, yet strong silks are our perhaps our most comfortable fabrics, besides the stretch fabrics. They're great is great for fancy outings, yet just subtle enough for everyday wear. This compact sling folds up into practically nothing when not in use!

The Jewelled Silk
The crème-de-la-crème, the truly extraordinary, this is the world's most exclusive baby sling! (And yes, you deserve it, after that hard labour!)
This is for the really fancy-schmancy outings with your little one in arms, and is what we like to refer to as "part ballgown, part baby-carrier." This is the one that celebrity slingers prefer! Introduced in the spring of 2003, we were the first sling-maker anywhere in the world to offer luxury, hand-beaded silk slings that are to be treated as much as a piece of jewellery as baby gear. Other sling-makers out there have tried to imitate it since, but won't easily duplicate it. This is the original hand-beaded, jewelled sling!
We start off with our usual, high-quality, 100% silk dupioni in a brilliant, shimmery solid colour, and then line it with a second lovely layer of dupioni, for contrast. This light silk is the ultimate in comfort, yet still strong enough to tote around a 30-lb./14-kg. toddler. Now, here's where we set ourselves apart: We hand-bead a panel at the shoulder with semi-precious crystals and stones in one of three gorgeous designs. The beads are individually-knotted so that they won't come apart as a whole strand (for the added security of your child, who will surely be dazzled by, and want to touch, the beads). The stones catch light in a certain way, and all of a sudden, all eyes are upon you. (We've had strangers get up from their dinner table across a restaurant just to come compliment us with this one on!)
These slings are completely custom-ordered, and no two are exactly alike! You choose:

Solarveil has been discontinued by the manufacturer, and our stock of slings has sold out! We are in the process of looking for a replacement fabric.
There are so many benefits to being able to sling your baby in water: You can bring your child into the pool to splash around with you (or just to become accustomed to the water at a young age), and you can shower with your baby. Hands-free showering or swimming means that you can use your hands to hold on to pool toys, soap, or shampoo, or simply to balance yourself and wade around, all while your child is held securely against you.
*** NOTE: As the name suggests, this sling is for "splashing", or light water activity. Do not attempt to swim with your child in the sling. ***

A more affordable option to our Jewelled Silk slings, this option adds a touch of elegance and beauty to your solid-coloured sling. We were the first sling-maker in 2003 to hand-bead onto slings, and we offer three popular designs: "Dragonflies", "Floral", and "Sprinkling" (a random sprinkle of beads on to the fabric surface). Every hand-beaded kissed baby sling that you see is custom-ordered, so you won't easily find duplicates around!
We use glass and/or plastic beads, and choose colours to complement your sling colour. However, special requests may be taken.
The beads are individually-knotted so that they won't come apart as a whole strand (for the added security of your child, who will surely be dazzled by, and want to touch, the beads).
*** NOTE: This option is not available on reversible Pouch Slings and Mei Tais. If you ask really, really nicely, we can do it for you, but only if you promise not to wear your sling on the reverse, so that the beads won't dig into your or your baby's skin. ***
